No Guilt Ice Cream...Could It Be True?

Thank you, Edy's, for sending the certificate for a free
Slow Churned carton of ice cream.

I decided to try a product from the Edy's 'No Sugar Added' line.

Having tried several 'no sugar added' ice creams that claimed
to live up to their sweeter counterparts and being disappointed nearly
every time - I was skeptical this one was to be any better.
But with limiting the sugar we consume being THE diet trend
for the time being - a 'no sugar added' ice cream is perfect
for the first review. I opted for Cookie Dough.

Upon first opening the carton, it looked just like any other
cookie dough ice cream, maybe a little brighter white.
I scooped out several spoonfuls and settled in for taste-testing.
It is lacking the sweetness regular ice creams have, but for some
reason I almost like it better than regular ice cream. I don't know
if that's a sign I'm finally becoming an adult or perhaps it's
just a nice change from the onslaught of sugar we are thrown
everyday. I enjoyed it and I will buy it again.

Edy's Slow Churned Cookie Dough ice cream has 3 g of sugar per 1/2 cup and 110 calories per 1/2 cup. Not too shabby. Definitely a good summer treat you don't have to feel guilty about.

I give the product a 4.8 out of 5.

Don't expect it to taste exactly like the ice cream you're used to, but it is still a quite tastey, refreshing, and satisfying dessert.
